Alison is our Flugel Horn Player

Alison was born in Colchester, Essex and moved to Norfolk in 1979 from Hertford. She comes from a musical family where both Grandparents played instruments; one played principle cornet for a championship Brass Band, and the other played a Violin. Her Mother (Joan) plays the flute and a Baritone.

Alison has indulged in a number of instruments including those of her Grandparents. Her main instrument at School was the Violin (which she only stopped playing a few years ago). From 1978-79 Alison played the Cornet for the Ware Town Band (now Ware Brass). She has also played the Clarinet for the Norwich City Concert Band, Tenor Horn and Flugel for Sprowston Band (the forerunner of this very Band).
